Some overseas Filipino workers in Hong Kong are also feeling the brunt of the COVID-19 surge in the Chinese territory with some of them waiting outside hospitals to get treatment.
Due to the fifth wave of infections triggered by the Omicron variant hospitals are having a hard time admitting new patients.

Hong Kong hospitals are mow over 90% full according to health authorities.
One OFW said that she was about to board a plane bound for the Philippines but she was not allowed to do so after testing positive for the virus.
They waited outside a hospital until they were rescued by a non-government organization.

Three OFWs are now in isolation facilities.
The Labor Department has yet to give an update on the condition of Filipino workers in Hong Kong.
