The Al Ain Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced a man to death for killing three of his family members.
The motive behind the killing involved a dispute on family inheritance.
Aside from premeditated murder, the man was also convicted of possessing two firearms and ammunition without a license, and possessing psychotropic substances.
The convict’s accomplice in the killing was sentenced to 15 years in jail for taking part in the murder and illegally possessing firearms.
The victims sustained gun wounds in different parts of their bodies, leading to their deaths.
The court ordered the man to pay ‘diya’ or blood money to the victims’ families.
