An Al Ain court has junked a petition of an employer demanding payments for moral and financial damages against her former maid.
The employer filed a lawsuit against the maid for “damaging kitchen utensil” before the latter ran away.
The complainant was asking for compensation on moral and financial damages amounting to AED 2,000 and AED 5,000, respectively.
It was not immediately clear if the maid was bound by a contract to her employee.
However, the court ordered the maid to pay AED 2,574 worth of international calls she made using her employers’ landline.
