A Filipina is currently in a comatose state after she was struck by a minivan at a pedestrian crossing in the Palm Jumeirah area.
Her relatives and close friends see her ongoing battle as a miracle.
The Filipina was initially reported dead based on confirmation from an emergency services official. However, the hospital stated that the Filipina survived, but experienced a “catastrophic brain injury”.
A crucial CT scan at the hospital’s ICU revealed that there’s still hope.
“Last time po na dumalaw kami noong Sabado akala namin talagang wala na kasi sabi ng doktor, thin chances of survival,” Lee Ann, a close friend of the victim, told TFT.
“But a miracle happened dahil may pagbabago daw po sa ct scan niya,” she added.
“So far ang update at sabi ng doktor ay medyo bumuti siya, so let’s all pray for her. She is in the ICU at this moment,” Lee Ann narrated.
Witnesses described the vehicle involved as a minibus carrying construction workers.
