The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Dubai has advised overseas absentee voters to check their names in the Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOVs) to verify if they will be able to exercise their right to vote.

The list was approved by the Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) and the Commission on Elections during its En Banc meeting last January 26.

The list published on the website of PCG Dubai has a separate list of land-based and sea-based overseas absentee voters, who recorded 191,257 and 19,584 voters, respectively.

These 210,841 overseas absentee voters can cast their votes from April 10 to May 9.

The list consists of “Filipino citizens who registered for overseas voting last 16 December 2019 until 14 October 2021”, said the consulate.

The UAE is among the top five countries with the Filipino voter turnout in the last five elections. Other countries on the list include Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United States.

These countries contributed to over half of the total actual overseas voters during the last five elections.
