The Philippines will deploy two special commercial flights to repatriate stranded Filipinos from Europe.
The citizens were stranded on account of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.

There are 140 stranded Filipinos in Europe after seven countries of Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, and Italy were placed on Manila’s red list amid the threat of Omicron.
Authorities have urged the Filipinos with repatriation concerns to contact their nearest embassy for the travel arrangements.
Among those stranded were Filipino students, workers and tourists held up due to travel restrictions. (AW)
