Metro Manila Development Authority or MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos denied rumors that people who are unvaccinated will not receive cash aid during the implementation of enhanced community quarantine.
Abalos hit the perpetrators behind the fake news after people flocked to different vaccination sites in Manila.
“Ang sinabi po ba naman na kung wala kang bakuna ay wala kang matatanggap na ayuda. Nag-panic ang mga tao. Nagpuntahan ng umaga sa mga vaccination center. Nagkagulo,” he said.

The MMDA chief said that the incidents happened in Manila, Masinag in Antipolo City, and Las Piñas.
Abalos said that the National Bureau of Investigation is already investigating them and that they will be penalized when caught.
Malacañang says that the country has achieved a vaccination milestone after 10 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
“We have reached a very important milestone in our national vaccination program,” Palace spokesman Harry Roque said.

“Kung dati-rati po, nagkukumahog kung saan kukuha ng bakuna, ngayon po meron nang 10 milyong Pilipino na meron nang full protection laban sa kalaban natin na COVID-19,” he added.
Metro Manila will ramp up its vaccination drive after receiving 4 million additional doses during the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ.
“Sasamantalahin natin ang ECQ para lalo pa nating mapabilis po ang pagbabakuna,” Roque added. (TDT)
