Malacañang has yet to issue statements or apologies to the Philippines’ first Olympic Gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz who was included in the 2019 “Ouster Plot Matrix”
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque distanced himself and Malacañang from the matrix that the Palace released two years ago.
“Wala po ano. As spokesperson, wala po akong kahit anong binintang kay Hidilyn Diaz,” said Roque, who wasn’t the Presidential Spokesperson when the matrix was released.
The said matrix revealed a list of individuals who were allegedly linked to the destabilization efforts, which included Diaz’ name.
In 2019, Diaz tweeted that she had ‘other goals’ to pursue for the Philippines and denied any linkages to the said matrix.
“Kaya nga! Dami ko pang goals sa life and Pinas para sumali sa ganyan bagay. Nashock lang ako nalink ako sa ganyan,” tweeted Diaz, who back then won a silver medal for the Philippines’ Olympics team.
