Abu Dhabi Court ordered five young men to sweep the streets in the emirate as punishment for reckless driving.
A court handed down a verdict of three months of community service and asked them to pay a fine of AED 50,000 each.
The court issued verdicts in three different cases involving the defendants in which they were originally sentenced to six months in jail.
Their driving licences have been suspended for six months, while their vehicles were seized permanently.
The confiscated vehicles will be auctioned off to pay for the damage they caused to public roads.
Abu Dhabi Judicial Department said the men were filmed drifting their vehicles, indulging in stunts on the road.
Furthermore, the drivers were also accused of driving without number plates, causing disturbance, and endangering the lives of others.
In a tweet, the ADJD said showboating in public streets is one of the most irresponsible behaviours conducted by young men, which poses a threat to their lives and the lives of other road users.
