The France Embassy has reopened its visa application for Filipinos vaccinated with vaccine brands approved by European Medicines Agency (EMA).
The visa application was reopened after the Philippines was placed under “orange” classification by French authorities.
Currently, EMA has approved Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
The Embassy, however, said that those who are yet to be vaccinated must give a “compelling reason” for their travel.
“The modalities for scheduling an appointment remain unchanged. The health measures for receiving visa applicants by our outsourcing center, VFS Global, will continue to be strictly observed,” the Embassy said in a statement.
The Embassy clarified that visa issuance does not mean immediate entry to France.
“Before applying for a visa, it is recommended to verify if you are indeed authorized to enter France by consulting the following page: certificate of travel,” it added.
