Al Hosn ‘Green Pass’ checks begins in Abu Dhabi

Only those with Green Pass will be allowed to enter a number of establishments and public places across Abu Dhabi beginning today, June 15.

The Green Pass system in Al Hosn app will be used as proof of entry to malls, large supermarkets, gyms, hotels, public parks, beaches, swimming pools, entertainment centres, cinemas, museums, restaurants and cafes.

To obtain green pass, residents should take COVID-19 tests or vaccination.

The Al Hosn colour-coding system defines six categories including fully vaccinated, second and first dose recipients, and unvaccinated.

Residents must carry a green pass on their Al Hosn app for entry to most public places and this rule comes into effect from June 15 for people aged 16 and above, Abu Dhabi authorities announced last week.

Mall managements will be displaying information about the new green pass requirement at the entrances, besides having trained their security teams in quick and effective in the green pass verification to avoid delays. (RA)
