While majority of wild creatures evoke tender and loving feelings in humans, an unexpected alligator visitor will definitely not get the welcome mat laid out in advance.
This is what happened on June 9 when a seven-foot-long alligator entered the US post office in Spring Hill, Florida and proceeded to take a stroll in the lobby.
The Facebook page of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office described how a patron entering the post office to mail an early morning package got the fright of his life when he saw the alligator.

The Sheriff’s Office was informed and police rushed to the spot immediately along with a trapper, who nabbed the trespassing wild creature and took it away.
However, the police are still scratching their heads over how the alligator got inside in the first place – as the post office entrance is manned by an automatic double door system.
The alligator news on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page went viral in barely a few hours, where it attracted around 3,000 likes and 4,000 shares along with hundreds of comments. (AW)
