A student pilot has died after his aircraft crashed off La Union on Wednesday, May 26.
The Philippine Coast Guard said authorities recovered the body of the 25-year-old student pilot. He’s reportedly from Pampanga. The aircraft crashed in Caba, La Union.

“He was immediately brought to the Caba Municipal Health Office where he was declared dead by the attending physician,” the Philippine Coast Guard said.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines confirmed the crash Tecnam P-2010 plane which “was conducting a solo cross-country flight.”

“According to the flight plan filed by the school, the flight originated from Iba Airport in the province of Zambales, en route to La Union Airport and Lingayen Airport, then back to Iba Airport,” CAAP said.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. (TDT)
