Residents in Sharjah who wish to get their very own driver’s license can now opt to have examiners visit them for their final driving exam.
The Sharjah Police’s Vehicle and Drivers Licensing Department have launched the “External Inspection for drivers” which allows a city test to be conducted at the preferred place of the resident.

Lt. Colonel Khalid Muhammad Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, stated that for a nominal fee of AED 100 to the examination fee, the administration’s examiner will head to the location of the resident to conduct the driving test and return to the original site after submitting a request for the service, as per a report from Gulf Today.
This initiative is part of Sharjah Police’s drive to achieve the strategic objective of the Ministry of Interior to boost customer satisfaction and happiness.
