The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or Phivolcs reported that they have recorded 259 volcanic earthquakes and 236 episodes of volcanic tremors in Taal Volcano in the last 24 hours.
These numbers are higher compared to the 102 volcanic earthquakes and 87 episodes of volcanic tremors reported on Tuesday.
The volcanic activities lasted for one to 22 minutes and longer than the one to eight minutes reported on Tuesday.

State volcanologists also reported four hybrid earthquakes.

Sulfur dioxide emission that averaged 813 tons per day was also measured yesterday.

Taal Volcano is still on Alert Level 2, which means it is at increased unrest. Steam-driven or phreatic eruptions may occur suddenly, as well as volcanic earthquakes, minor ash fall, and accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas which could be lethal.
The public is reminded that the Taal Volcano Island is off-limits.
PHIVOLCS advised pilots not to fly close to the volcano as ash and ballistic fragments from sudden explosions may be hazardous to aircrafts.
