All COVID-19 vaccination centers will now be temporarily dedicated to elderly and people with chronic diseases in the light of the spike in infections over the past weeks.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced this on February 6, 2021.
In line with its vaccine rollout plan to ensure acquired community immunity and to contain the disease, MoHAP said that it will focus on both groups in its inoculation over the coming four to six weeks.
During this time, those who wanted to get jabs will have to get prior appointments with the inoculation centers available across the nation.
MoHAP called upon the families of the elderly people and those with chronic diseases to ensure their vaccination in order to protect their health. (ES)
