One of the suspects on the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera appeared to deny his involvement in the case and even claimed that they tried to save Dacera.
In an interview with reporters, Gregorio Angelo Rafael De Guzman said that they tried to revive Dacera when she was found lifeless in a bath tub via CPR.
De Guzman added that it was only that night when they met the flight attendant.
He said that he was the first one to go to the bed during the party. He is also part of the group who brought Dacera to the nearest hospital.
“Nandoon po kami, hindi namin iniwan si Tin until the end. Hindi namin iniwan si Tin, kaya ang sakit ng mga sinasabi nila. Hindi nila alam ang nangyari, tumingin sila sa CCTV, nandoon kami sa police station, sa ospital, sa hotel, hindi namin siya iniwan,” De Guzman explained.
He also denied accusations that Dacera was raped.
“Absurd po. Paano naging rape, bakla po ako? Never po akong nakipagtalik sa babae, ever in my life,” he added.
De Guzman is among those tagged in Dacera’s death, while three of their companions were arrested. They are John Pascual Dela Serna III, 27, Rommel Daluro Galido, 29, and John Paul Reyes Halili, 25 respectively.
