A man mistakenly tagged as a hold upper was gunned down by a policeman in Sta. Rita, Pampanga.
The victim was identified as Federico Pineda, 29, who just came from his child’s 7th birthday party.
According to Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon of the Central Police, the cop apparently mistook Pineda for a suspect, who robbed and stabbed a couple near the area.
The suspect identified as Police Corporal Eframe Ramirez was disarmed and is not facing frustrated homicide charges.
If found guilty, Ramirez will also face administrative charges.
The real robber was also caught that same night named Joven Basera.
The incident comes after the viral incident involving policeman Jonel Nuezca who killed his two neighbors after a heated confrontation in Paniqui, Tarlac.
