More lawmakers denied claims that they are involved in corruption activities after President Rodrigo Duterte named them on television, Monday night.
In a statement, Quezon 4th District Rep. Angelina “Helen” Tan said her inclusion in the list of allegedly corrupt congressmen is ‘prejudicial and malicious’.
Isabela 4th District Rep. Alyssa Sheena Tan, for her part, said that “there is absolutely no truth” in the allegations against her.

“I have never owned any construction company. I do not have any shares in any construction company. This truth can easily be verified by the PACC by simply checking and validating with the concerned government agencies that they surely have access to,” Tan said.
“I vehemently deny the baseless and grossly unfair accusation! The PACC [Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission] and or any government agency has not conducted any investigation regarding any project in my province,” Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephin Ramirez-Sato said in a statement.
Northern Samar Rep. Paul Daza said the corruption allegations against him are baseless.

Both Quezon City Representative Alfred Vargas and Bataan Representative Geraldine Roman denied the claims.
“The public should be aware that there is no hard evidence, that it cannot be translated by just reading the names that they are already guilty because the presumption of innocence would be all throughout until conviction or acquittal,” Duterte said in his speech.
