Ajman Police have adopted the ‘smart helmet’ rolled out by the Ministry of Interior earlier this year.
The smart helmets are capable of detecting people with COVID-19 symptoms at a crowd.
It measures people’s temperatures up to a distance of 5 meters.
It automatically informs the wearer of a person detected with fever or a high temperature exceeding 37.3° Celsius.
Lt. Colonel Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, Director of Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said the smart helmet aims to enhance human health and safety and strengthen COVID-19 preventive measures.
The helmet will be used in parks and beaches, as well as shops and shopping centre in the emirate.
