Motorists in Abu Dhabi and the UAE are advised to be mindful of pedestrians who are about to cross the roads at designated areas.
A video posted by the Abu Dhabi Police shows how authorities monitor motorists who were seen speeding past pedestrian lanes.

Those who fail to give way to pedestrians face fines of AED 500 with six black points on their record.
The video showed violators including a truck that remained on the pedestrian lanes as well as two cars that sped past the crossing area, which posed a threat for pedestrians.
Authorities remind motorists to follow the UAE’s road guidelines to avoid accidents and other untoward incidents.
