Netizens in Abu Dhabi have reported sightings of a building in shambles at the Airport Road in Abu Dhabi.
Photos show that the ground floor of the building was destroyed, with some netizens reporting that there has been an explosion that took place near at the KFC building in the area.
Filipinos living near the area state that a loud explosion sound and vibrations in their building woke them up and startled them. In one of the photos, an Abu Dhabi Police patrol can be seen restricting access to the site.
Officials are currently investigating the cause of the incident and are checking for any casualties.
