A pet dog was left bleeding after his hind paw was trapped in an escalator located inside a Singaporean mall on August 15, Lianhe Wanbao reported.
According to one of the mall goers, a man in his forties had brought his two dogs on the escalator—one his was holding in his arms, and the other, a King Charles Spaniel, was left sitting on the escalator steps.
The dog suddenly, started crying, and the escalator stopped moving. Upon closer look, people learned that its hind paw was stuck in the escalator and was bleeding.

“I took a closer look and saw that the dog’s hind paw was stuck in the escalator. It could be its fur or nail that got sucked inside, or its toe that got stuck in the gap that caused the escalator to stop,” the guest the Chinese newspaper.
“The mall management was very quick to offer their assistance. Some people also called the Singapore Civil Defence Force for help,” she added.
A retail worker, meanwhile, told Lianhe Wanbao that the technicians of the mall managed to free the dog after disassembling parts of the escalator.
