Pet cat dies in UAE after being locked inside car

Netizens are now seeking justice after a pet cat died inside a locked car last Tuesday.

Rosy the cat had been in the car for over two hours before a volunteer from the Animal Action UAE group spotted and rescued the screaming cat, Rosy inside the car.

Rosy was brought to the veterinary but later died due to neurological symptoms, causing seizures, kidney and other internal organ damage.

The owner of Rosy who thought her cat was stolen didn’t realize the risk of living her pet inside the car thinking that opening the car window a few centimeters and leaving the pet with water would be enough, as per report of Khaleej Times.

The animal group reiterated that this should be a lesson to all pet owners and parents.

“Never leave your child, cat or dog or any other pets in a car where the AC is not running.” the group added.

The report furthers that in 10 minutes, a car’s temperature can rise over 20°C. Leaving the windows open does not help slow the heating process.
