3 convicted in Bahrain for violating COVID-19 regulations

Bahrain’s Lower Criminal Court has sentenced three people to a fine worth Bd1,000 each after they were found guilty of violating the regulations and preventive measures against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Bahrain News Agency reported.
The Public Health Directorate earlier reported the three defendants to the Public Prosecution for violating the mandatory quarantine imposed on them to alleviate the spread of the disease. According to investigations, they each left their homes without permission—putting the public at more risk from the spread of the pandemic.
One of the defendants appealed the case, but was rejected by the High Court of Appeal.
