Saudi confirms 4 new COVID-19 cases, total number rises to 15

Saudi Arabia has announced four new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on March 9, bringing the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 15.
In a report by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that the four people are now isolated and are being treated in various hospitals.

MOH said that the first case on March 9 is a Saudi national who had been in contact with a confirmed case in Al-Qatif Governorate. The second and third new cases are women from Bahrain who came from Iraq. The fourth new case is a US resident who came to Saudi after passing to the Philippines and Italy. The first three patients are now isolated in a hospital in Al-Qatif, while the fourth patient is in a hospital in Riyadh, MOH reported.
The Ministry assures the public that all the new patients are isolated, and are being given the best health treatment according to the standards imposed by the World Health Organization. It also encouraged everyone who arrived from highly-impacted countries to contact their Health Service Center 937 for advice.
MOH also said that all information must be taken only from Saudi’s official sources.
