Bahrain has cancelled the classes in all private and public schools and universities for the next two weeks after positive cases of corona virus disease (COVID-19) were confirmed in the Kingdom.
In a report by Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health has identified 23 confirmed cases after six people who came from Iran tested positive for the virus. These new cases have also prompted Bahrain to issue a temporary travel ban to Iran.

“The measure is in implementation of the Government’s decision to continuously step up efforts aimed protecting citizens and residents’ health and safety”, Al Arabiya quoted BTEA Chief Executive Officer Nader Khalil Almoayyed as saying.
The Kingdom’s capital, Manama, has also suspended flights to Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE—the first country in the region to have confirmed COVID-19 cases. So far, all the 13 patients are under stable condition, with two of them already recovering from the virus.
