A Filipina has made her missionary parents proud as she graduates summa cum laude from a university in Thailand.
“Not everyone has the privilege to get education. If you are fortunate enough, make the most out of it and be thankful,” said Nicole Louise Poblet, who graduated told the ABS-CBN.
Poblete graduated last March 19 with the highest honor as she finished her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Major in Radio and TV Broadcasting from the Ramkhamhaeng University (RU) Institute of International Studies in Bangkok, Thailand.
Poblete, who grew up from Laoag City, shared about her challenges in adjusting to Thai life and culture, as well as in learning a foreign language.
She advised others seeking success “not wait for life to be easy kasi kung ‘yun ang hinihintay niyo, wala tayong mapapala (because if that’s what you’re waiting for, you won’t get anywhere).”
