Pop star royalty Sarah Geronimo is ushering in a new chapter in her career.
The singer-actress surprised fans by announcing her upcoming single, “Umaaligid,” set for release on July 30 under her newly established record label, G Music.
Geronimo shared a teaser via her official X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, featuring a photo of a brightly lit house in the middle of a dark night.
“Dilat na ba ang mga mata?” she wrote. The post ended with a cryptic line: “Mukhang payapa ang loob, hanggang sa kwento’y magsimulang kumulo.”
In a separate post, her husband, actor Matteo Guidicelli, also celebrated Geronimo’s upcoming release.
“Yes, it’s finally here! This has been established in its perfect time,” the post said, referring to the music company. “[Sarah Geronimo] will start owning her own music and creating exciting things!” he added.
“Umaaligid” will be Geronimo’s first release since her 2023 collaboration with Bamboo, “Treading Water.” She was also previously reported to be working on a project with P-pop powerhouse SB19
