Star for all Season Vilma Santos turned emotional after a question about her son’s controversy Luis Manzano was brought up in an interview with Boy Abunda.
Luis is currently involved in a scam controversy after investors from Flex Fuel accused Manzano and his business partner of duping their money. A complaint has already been filed at the National Bureau of Investigation.
Vilma them turned emotional and cried before answering the question.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, Tito Boy… It’s not easy. I’m sorry… it’s not easy. I mean, kaya ko i-entertain but the only thing… sorry,” she said.
“Mahirap din kasi na kung minsan, it’s your job to do good. To show people that you’re comfortable, pero deep inside, you’re hurting. And the only thing I can say is that I know my son,” Vilma added.
Vilma defended Luis and said that her son’s heart is at the right place.
And I know he’s such a good person. I’m sorry,” she said.
“Diyos ko. Oh Lord, oh my God… At this point, it’s just asking for guidance not even for myself but for my children,” she added.
Vilma also appealed to those who are bashing her.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued a subpoena for actor and television host Manzano after he was linked to an investment scam.
In a GMA News report, the Criminal Intelligence Division of the NBI has issued the subpoena after investors of Flex Fuel Petroleum Corp which involved Manzano in estafa complaint.
The complaint was filed by 15 overseas Filipino workers.
One of the investors told GMA News that he invested more than 1 million to the business.
Kahit isa,” he said in the interview.
Another complainant said that they will drop the charges should Manzano or his business partners return their hard earned money.
The management of Flexi Fuel denied investment scam allegations but admitted that their operations were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Manzano earlier sought the help of the NBI after some investors approached him and ask for their money back.
The actor and host said that he too was owed by the company of more than P66 million.
