Megastar Sharon Cuneta, one of the wealthiest celebrities in the Philippines, admitted she resorted to selling some of her properties after the coronavirus pandemic halted her projects in the pipeline.
The shutdown of the media network ABS-CBN also affected her income for the past eight months.
In her latest vlog, the showbiz icon revealed that she has started selling off some of her properties, but it does not mean she is having a hard time making ends meet.
“’Yan ang ganda ng pag-iinvest. Kasi alam ko kung kailan ako pwede gumastos para ma-enjoy ko ‘yung pera because I don’t like money to rule me,” she said.
The actress said there were a number of projects lined up for her before the pandemic took place.
“Like wala akong trabaho ng walong buwan na. I lost two concert tours, one with Regine and one in Australia by myself,” Cuneta said.
“This year, I would’ve been shooting my third movie by this time for the year kung hindi nagka-COVID. At meron akong corporate shows na sunod-sunod. Mga lima yata naka-lineup na hindi natuloy. Ang dami na po nawala,” she said.
It was her late father who taught him about investing on properties. As she became a billionaire in her 20s, she heavily invested her money on real estate whose value increases through time.
