Cristine Reyes bagged the top acting award in the 40th Fantasporto International Film Festival (FPIFF) in Porto, Portugal—her first international acting award.
Reyes won the Best Actress award for the film ‘Untrue’. She said she is happy to be given the role in the Viva film thriller.
Reyes is the third Filipino to win an acting award from the said film festival. Ian Veneracion won best actor for Ilawod in 2018, while Barbie Forteza won best actress in 2016.
Derick Cabarido also won in this year’s film festival as Best Director for the horror film Clarita.
The 40th edition of the Fantasporto-Porto Festival was held at Teatro Rivoli. The festival ran from February 28 to March 7.
