Kapamilya singer Jed Madela revealed that he did not receive any invitation to join the shoot of ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID ‘Family is Forever’.
Madela only learned that the station ID had already been filmed when broadway diva Lea Salonga wrote on her Facebook account about her experience.
Salonga with the two other regular The Voice coaches, Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo, were the voices behind this year’s theme song.
On November 18, Salonga posted on Facebook, “Bamboo and I aren’t in the video much (except at the end… Sarah is in more than we are), but all our voices are very present. It was fun looking back at the previous station IDs, and singing them too!”
Madela apparently was not invited in its filming, based on his comment on Salonga’s post. The former asked, “Oh wow! They shot the station ID already????”
“Yehzzzz,” Salonga answered.
He replied, “Hah!!! I didn’t know!!! Oh well…”
Salonga asked again, “Might you have been out of the country?”
“Nope. Didn’t even get a message or a call. But it’s fine…” he answered.
“Ohhh” was Lea’s last reply.
It’s unclear though how the Kapamilya network chose the celebrities who will be part of the station ID.
