Big names in the global entertainment industry gathered on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a two-day forum that sought to establish the country’s place on the global entertainment map.
Dubbed, “Joy Forum19”, the event had some of the biggest global stars like Indian actor and film producer Shah Rukh Khan, Hong Kong martial artist, actor and film director Jackie Chan, and Belgian actor and martial artist Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Indian actor Sharukh shared in an interview with Arab News how excited he is that Saudi Arabia is opening to the world and the Cinemas.
He said he would love to audition for a Saudi movie.
There also were other celebrities who walked the red carpet at the event. Among them was American actor and lead star of Aquaman, Jason Momoa.
Organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), the event gathered around 500 guests during its gala dinner and private event.
The two-day event also gathered top CEOs and thought leaders in global entertainment.
Speakers like VXF producer Christoph Roth talked about the ways virtual reality will change movies in the future and theatre director Raja Alotaibi hosted the Theatre Production in The Entertainment Industry workshop.
