Kapamilya TV host and ‘Unkabogable’ star Vice Ganda has engaged in a Twitter word war after announcing his shopping plans before going to Calgary, Canada.
“Andaming nag aaway, andaming galit, andaming nagkakagulo sa twitter, sa fb sa ig. Valakayojen!!!! Shopping muna ko. More shoes! More outfit! More fun! My life is sooooo good!” Vice said in a tweet on Saturday.
Fans and supporters of a TV host wished him to have a good time but some netizens called out Vice’s tweet as insensitive and full of privilege.
“This tweet reeks of privilege…. but what do we expect from her,” a Twitter user replied.
Another netizen wrote, “sobra. Insensitive na, privileged pa. hayy”
Vice saw the negative reaction in his Twitter feed after landing in Canada.
“Nagtweet lang ako ng magshashopping ako sinabihan nako ng mga feeling WOKE ng ‘Privileged’! Bakit ako lng ba nakakapagshopping sa buong mundo? Mga shunga! Punta ka ng mall kahit walang trabaho nagshashopping!!! Dunung dunungan ang mga (glaring word) feeling WOKE!” Vice said.
“Woke” is an Internet slang that refers to a person who is aware of the issues around them.
