Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz, Filipina Youtube sensation Reneé Dominique release single

Grammy Award singer Jason Mraz is releasing a single together with Filipina Youtube sensation Reneé Dominique.

What’s more — Dominique will also join the I’m Yours hitmaker in his Manila concert next month.

“She’ll be joining me at the concert in Manila, so we can perform our song together which is very exciting,” Mraz told ABS-CBN’s entertainment website, Push.

The 20-year old lass is an internet sensation, amassing more than 700,000 Youtube subscribers. Her most popular video posts were her acoustic-cum-ukelele renditions of popular classics. Her covers, “Can’t Take My Eyes Of You” drew almost 10 million views. She also has original compositions like “idk” which trended and joined Spotify Philippines’ Viral 50.

Fans commended her “airy, soothing and unique voice.”

And Mraz seemed equally captivated.

“I had recently been introduced to Renee Dominique. She’s an artist on the rise…and her voice, she sounded angelic. It didn’t sound connected to any particular region on the planet. It just sounded heavenly,” the American singer said.

Mraz will perform at the Mall of Asia on May 8 as part of his ‘Good Vibes’ Asia tour. His collaboration with Dominique is set to be released late May in the US.

He said he is excited to perform again in Manila because the reception of fans was “unlike anywhere else.” He serenaded Manila in 2013 and 2014.

“There is so much love in the room and so many beautiful voices that sing along with us that really stand out,” the 41-year old musician said.
