WATCH: Filipino talents stand out in “Asia’s Got Talent” auditions

Filipinos are known across the world for their outstanding talent and several acts have showcased just that during the premiere episode of “Asia’s Got Talent”.

Three different Filipino acts, a father-daughter cheerleading tandem, a dance group, and a singing duo, were able to get the judges’ approval during the show’s auditions which made them qualified to move onto the next round of the competition.

The first act to get the approval of celebrity judges David Foster, Jay Park, and Anggun is young cheer dancer Zianne Angierein “Zeexhie” Garcia. Zeexhie joined Eat Bulaga’s Hype Kang Bata Ka last year and now, she is set to take over a much bigger stage with her father Renier and their incredible cheerdance routine.

A hip-hop dance group made of 15 members, Junior Good Vibes, were also able to earn three “yes” from the judges after their electrifying performance.

“There’s 15 unique stories, and all those stories came to life and I felt everything that you guys are feeling and I’m very proud of you,” Forster told Junior Good Vibes.

The HK Sisters, a singing duo whose father works as a seafarer, also got a standing ovation from the judges for their rendition of the song “THink of Me” from “The Phantom of the Opera”.

Several acts from Asia are competing for this year’s “Asia’s Got Talent” in order to get the grand prize which include $100,000.

The last time an act from the Philippines won was in 2015 when shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra emerged as the grand winner.
