An intense wildfire has engulfed an area in Southern California and has reached Malibu, Calabasas, and Agoura forcing thousands of residents, including celebrities and public figures, to flea their houses and transfer to a safer location.
The massive wildfire, which is now dubbed as the “Woolsey fire”, ignited on November 8, and has burned over a total land area of 93,662 acres leaving many California residents devastated. As of November 12, the fire is 30% contained.
Even celebrities were among those people who lost their properties due to the fire including the houses of actor Gerard Butler and singers Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke which were all burned down.
Cyrus took to Twitter to announce that she lost her house. The singer remains to be thankful that she and her loved ones are safe.
“Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and love of my life made it out safely and that’s all that matters right now,” Cyrus tweeted.
“My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family and friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left,” she added.
She also urged her fans to donate money, time, and supplies to those who were affected by the fire.
