Morissette cancels concert appearance, remembers losing voice during Dubai concert

“Asia’s Phoenix” Morissette Amon had to cancel her appearance in the concert of Westlife’s Shane Filan on September 15 after her ENT specialist advised her to give her vocal chords a break from “strenuous vocal activity”.

Stages and RankOne released a statement a day before the concert apologizing to the concert promoters and to the fans for the inconvenience.

“Stages and RankOne regretfully announce that our artist, Morissette, won’t be able to perform and join Shane Filan’s concert this weekend, following the strict orders of ENT specialist and surgeon Dr. Gerard Agcaoili for Morissette to rest from any strenuous vocal activity within a period of 10 days.

“We sincerely apologize to the promoter, Wilbros Live, and to the fans for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your understanding!” their full statement reads.

Amon also took to social media to apologize for her fans who were expecting to see her in the said concert.

In her Twitter post, she said that she visited her voice doctor for the first time after she lost her voice during the Dubai leg of her “Morissette is Made” concert.

Amon previously revealed that concert in Dubai had a short delay because she suddenly lost her voice.

The singer said that her extensive travelling could have affected how her body functions, thus, causing her to lose her voice. But in the end, she was able to regain her voice and put on a good show for her fans.

However, it seems that Amon has been having vocal problems once again as her doctor advised her to cancel all of her commitments over the weekend and just take some time to rest.

She has also thanked her fans who have been praying for her recovery through the said tweet.
