LOOK: Kim Chiu remembers humble beginnings in showbiz

Ever since she won Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition in 2006, Kim Chiu has been blessed with a successful showbiz career. She has starred in several films and television series that made her a household name in the Philippines.

Aside from that, she has a handful of product endorsements, and has also entered the music scene by recording a number of albums.

Because of the blessings she has received in the past years, the 28-year-old actress took to Instagram to remember how she started in show business.

Chiu posted a throwback photo of her from her Pinoy Big Brother days and recalled how such experience changed her life forever.

“It’s been 12 years today! Never have I imagined I would be given this chance ever in my whole entire life,” Chiu wrote on Instagram.

She thanked God and her supporters for allowing her to live the life that she has now.

“Thank you papa God for bringing me where I am today and thank you po sa lahat ng nagtitiwala, sumusuporta, and nagmamahal! I will be forever grateful and forever thankful sa inyong lahat!” she said.

Kim ended her post by giving a message to her followers encouraging them not to give up on their dreams.

“It may be hard in the beginning but trust the process and don’t give up on that dream, ‘dreams don’t become reality through magic it takes sweat determination and hard work because in the end we are all just dreamers in an endless universe,'” she said.

Chiu’s most recent project is the horror comedy movie “Da One That Ghost Away”, which also stars Ryan Bang, Enzo Pineda, Maymay Entrata, and Edward Barber.
