Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei, known for her role as Linda Walker in the viral micro-drama “The Heiress Who Won with Brains,” is set to visit the Philippines in June to promote an education-focused campaign titled “Education for a Better Future.”
The visit, scheduled from June 8 to 11, was announced by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry Inc. (FFCCCII).
The campaign aims to encourage Filipino students to value education, discipline, and perseverance as classes reopen nationwide.
Zhang gained online popularity for her portrayal of Linda Walker, a highly intelligent student character who overcomes poverty through education and diligence, highlighted by her exceptional academic performance in the series.
As part of her itinerary, Zhang will pay a courtesy call on Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on June 8 at the Manila City Hall before visiting historic sites including Intramuros and Binondo.
On June 9, she is scheduled to join an outreach activity at Quezon City High School, where school supplies and hygiene kits will be distributed to students. Expected attendees include Education Secretary Sonny Angara, Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan, and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Organizers said the visit also aims to strengthen educational and cultural exchanges between Filipino and Chinese communities, with Zhang expected to deliver a message encouraging students to “study hard, dream big, and never surrender to difficulties.”
