New hotel in Manila launches world’s largest dancing fountain

Okada Manila unveiled Friday night the “The Fountain” – the world’s largest multicolored dancing water fountain – as it aims to attract local and international travelers to see Manila as a destination of choice for entertainment.

Okada Manila kicked off its first world-class attraction that was inspired by the many festive traditions and holidays of the Philippines, as well as the national flower, the Sampaguita.

“’The Fountain’ is going to be open for all ages and for families. People can come down and the schedule will be posted on our website,” ABS-CBN News quoted Bryan Bass, Okada Manila vice-president for property marketing, as saying.

Measuring 37,464 square meters or equivalent to 50 Olympic-size swimming pools or 180 million glasses of champagne, “The Fountain” will be the most iconic feature at the heart of the 44-hectare integrated resort. It has 739 water nozzles that shoot water up to impressive heights, 2,611 colored lights that represent the colorful festivals in the country, and 23 speakers across a 9.2-acre man-made fountain lake.

At the center, water jets soar high to create a mirror for the projection of abstract videos from two sides of in sync with “The Fountain’s” performance. The resort casino also has Crystal Corridor and luxurious and exclusive shopping stores.

Okada is the newest casino resort at the 100-hectare Entertainment City in Parañaque, It is dubbed as Manila’s biggest and most lavish integrated resort development.
