If you are planning to buy a condo for investment purposes, make sure you have a plan so that everything just falls into place.
This according to Edric Mendoza, renowned personal finance expert, who in an interview with The Filipino Times, also said that Quezon City, Marikina and Pasig “would be hotspots” for condo projects as a result of infrastructure development projects connecting NLEX and SLEX.
“The fundamental question is,” Mendoza said, “what is your investment goal? When you have an investment goal, you can now factor in… something you can enter based on the return, based on the purpose and the cash you have available.”
Mendoza said the ultra high-end segment “is pretty saturated right now and the real property values are high.”
Maybe the mid-market segment is the best option to invest in, he said. “That’s where the infrastructure developments are going to happen. There is the infrastructure project that’s going to connect the NLEX and the SLEX. So, places like Quezon City, Marikina and Pasig.. that would be hot spots as a result of that connection,” Mendoza added.
But he stressed: “You don’t invest for investments sake, because if that investment doesn’t suit your investment goal, then it won’t go anywhere.” (With Christopher Banzuela)
