Actress Angelica Panganiban revealed that she and ex-boyfriend Carlo Aquino called it quits after the latter got in a relationship with fellow Kapamilya actress Maja Salvador.
During their guesting in Vice Ganda’s late night talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice”, Panganiban said that she and Aquino were in a relationship for six years before they broke up.
When Vice Ganda asked them what was the cause behind their breakup, Panganiban said that it was initially because of a third party. However, they decided to rekindle their love and got back together.
Panganiban then said that they lasted for another year before breaking up once again. She then said that the reason behind their second break up was a girl who currently has no airing shows, appears weekly on ASAP, and has a name that starts with M.
When Vice Ganda mentioned Salvador’s name, Panganiban confirmed that it was indeed her.
Panganiban, however, clarified that their second breakup was better compared to the first one. She said that Aquino broke up with her properly before getting in a relationship with Salvador.
“Yung una kasi, nalaman ko lang na may ganun pala. So siyempre, nakakaloka, ganun, nag-break kami.
“‘Tapos itong yung ano… siguro gusto niyang mag-start talaga nang maayos, di ba? Kailangan niyang tapusin nang maayos sa ‘kin.
“Inamin naman niya. Hindi siya nagloko. Pinutol niya yung sa akin bago siya nagsimula,” she said.
Panganiban also said that it did not cause any rift between her and Salvador. She added that they are good friends.
Aquino also took the opportunity to say sorry to Panganiban for all of his shortcomings as a boyfriend.
“Sorry. Siguro kasi napagod ka dahil kasalanan ko. Inaamin ko naman yun na nagkulang ako, nagkulang ako sa ‘yo,” Aquino said.
