Cebu Pacific aids Ompong victims

In an effort to aid those who were affected by the Typhoon Ompong, Cebu Pacific Air resumed partial operations at the Tuguegarao Airport on Tuesday, September 18,

The airlines said in a statement that it will bring supplies, relief goods and volunteers to the victims of the typhoon.

“We understand that areas severely affected by Typhoon Ompong need a lot of support and assistance. We consider it of utmost importance to resume flights as soon as possible so we can fly in supplies, resources, and much-needed humanitarian assistance at the earliest opportunity,” said Atty. JR Mantaring, Cebu Pacific Vice-President for Corporate Affairs.

The onslaught of Ompong left several provinces in Northern Luzon without power and water supply; it also destroyed crops and houses in the region.

It can be recalled that Cebu Pacific suspended its operations over the weekend in preparation for Ompong. The airline will resume its regular flights once the Tuguegarao Airport is fully operational.
