American pop star Ariana Grande is currently at the top of the world following the release of her fourth studio album, “Sweetener”, which debuted at number one in the Billboard 200 in the US, as well as in other countries such as Australia and the UK.
One of the album’s singles titled “God is a Woman”, was a success after debuting at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and selling 43,000 digital downloads during its opening week.
The song also peaked at number eight on the said chart making it Grande’s tenth top ten song on Billboard Hot 100.
However, unknown to many of her fans all over the world, a fashion designer based in the UAE has somehow contributed to the song’s success after Grande wore two of Furne One’s creations from his label Amato Couture in the music video of “God is a Woman”.
Grande first gave a sneak peek of the Amato Couture outfit which she wore in the video through an Instagram post dated June 14, which was a month before the song’s release.
When the music video was released, Furne One took to Instagram to reveal that he designed two of the outfits which were found in the video.
The first one is a deep blue denim ensemble with a skin-tone top embellished with sapphire jewels. While the second outfit is a black dress with an elaborate golden feather neckpiece with a cape, paired with thigh high boots.
Furne said in an interview with MEGA that Grande’s team reached out to him to create clothes which “reflected strong, unique, and powerful women”.
He added in the same interview that “it was truly quite an honor to work with pop-sensation, Ariana Grande alongside Dave Meyers”, the director of the video.
Aside from Grande, Furne has also worked with other high-profile clients including Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Shakira, and Carrie Underwood among many others.
