Kathryn Bernardo and Lucena Mayor Mark Alcala appeared to be more open about their rumored romance after being seen holding hands at a public venue in Thailand.
Fan pages of the actress shared photos showing the pair descending an escalator with their hands intertwined. They were accompanied by several companions, including Bernardo’s glam team, and were seen smiling and chatting with the group.
Bernardo also gave fans a glimpse of their trip through an Instagram video posted Friday, April 3, captioned: “Tom yum is life,” referring to the Thai dish she enjoyed during the visit.
While fans expressed excitement over the sighting, some raised concerns over Alcala’s duties as a public official amid the country’s ongoing socio-economic challenges.
Rumors about Bernardo and Alcala began circulating in 2025 after multiple public sightings together. Most recently, they were separately seen strolling in malls. The actress has also followed the mayor on Instagram, further fueling speculation.
As of now, neither Bernardo nor Alcala has publicly confirmed their relationship.
