Filipino singer Morissette Amon just proved once again that she is a true pro when performing live.
In a Facebook video uploaded by Richard Go Dy, Amon was singing Regine Velaquez’s hit song “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” during her show titled “Morissette is Made Cebu: A Homecoming Concert” on July 14 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
While donning a glittering gold ball gown, Amon belts out every note of the song without breaking a sweat until she reaches the end of the song.
Proving that she is indeed the Asian version of American diva Mariah Carey, she decides to end the song using her distinctive whistle register but fails to reach it during her first attempt.
Amon then takes a quick pause to breathe and after telling her fans to wait, she opens her mouth and an astounding whistle comes out of it causing the audience to roar with applause.
Amon first sang her jaw-dropping cover of Velasquez’s hit song during the ASAP Chillout episode last June 3.
Amon, dubbed as “Asia’s Phoenix”, is set to return to Dubai this coming next month to stage a one-night-only concert at Zabeel Hall 2, Dubai World Trade Centre on August 17, as part of her show called “Morissette is Made”.
For her Dubai concert, she is expected to sing some hits from her album, including “Throwback” and “Diamante”.
