A policeman on Monday, June 4, returned the wallet of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) containing cash amounting to Php50,000.
Police Chief Inspector Jaime Ferrer returned the wallet of OFW Josie Capinpin in Cabanatuan City, reported Philippine Star Ngayon.
According to the OFW, she withdrew money from a bank in the city and rode a tricycle home. However, she did not notice that her wallet fell off on the street.
Inside the wallet was the withdrawn cash, some documents, and the OFW’s ATM card.
Luckily, Ferrer was able to see the incident and ran after Capinpin who was already inside the moving tricycle at that time.
The OFW extended her gratitude towards the policeman. She said the money would be used to pay for her child’s tuition fee this coming school year.
