A lucky baby born during a Saudi flight might just get free plane tickets for life.
The crew and passengers onboard a Saudi airlines flight from Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport to Cairo International Airport got the shock of their lives when a woman called for assistance.
As it turned out, the woman was in labor during the one and a half-long flight.
Luckily, one of the passengers was an obstetrician and was able to to help deliver the baby safely.
Meanwhile, the pilot, Talal Yousuf Iskandar, alerted the control tower regarding the incident and requested first aid.
The mother and her newborn baby were escorted to the nearest hospital upon arrival at the airport in Cairo.
Two years ago, Saudi Airlines has give another child born en route to London an Alfursan Gold membership. This guarantees recipients free plane tickets for life.
“General Manager of Saudi Airlines honors the passengers of Flight No. 21, who landed in London after the birth of a child on board and announces the award of permanent Golden Knights membership of the girl,” Saudi Airlines said on Twitter.
